My cat has kidney disease. For the last month, she has been pooping and occasionally peeing on my couch, in front of the door, and underneath my window. Of course I am concerned about urine soaking into my carpet. The urination has not happened on the carpet yet, thank goodness. I believe she's doing this on purpose because they are always in these places. I think she gets mad when I am not there or not giving her constant attention. She is telling me "what for". My mom suggests putting her down, but it seems so weird to do that for this reason. Is there a chance that the kidney disease is the reason for this? Has it gotten to her brain or something that makes her do this, even though it's not an accident? Also, she does still go in her litter box, so she does know where it is. Thank you!
