Increased Panting and thirst

I've noticed my 8 month old golder retiever is panting a lot more in non-active settings. He also drinking a lot more water. He was neutered 6 weeks ago so I am not sure if this is contributing. I live in Atlanta GA and the wether has gotten a little bit warmer which could be a factor. Does these seem normal or should I take him into the Vet?
