We haven't had our cat very long and she did not have a rabies vaccination. Last week she got outside and caught a bat. I took her to the vet and they gave her the vaccine, but is it too late? Will the vaccine help now since it's possible the bat had rabies? (It flew away and I couldn't catch it). I'm concerned, and I don't want to put my cat down if there's no need.
