My dog of 5 ate a round beef chip chew and threw it up immediately. Now acting weird and staying in her bed, she is drinking but not eating, this happened yesterday afternoon, I started her on chicken and rice, she had some diarreha last night but it is solid this morning, should I keep giving her chicken and rice and what about pepto bismal? How long is her stomach going to be upset?? Thank You

Some dogs are allergic or intolerant of beef and wheat ingredients in food or treats. Your dog has those symptoms. When thet get nauseous a pepcid tablet 1/2 to 1 daily works real well. It takes a day or two for these things to quiet down.Check my website at gilroyvet.com for diet tips for allergic dogs
