6 weeks parvo/distemper shot doesn't mean anything??

Hi, I have a yorkie. He was first given his puppy shot at 6 weeks, I think it was the Parvo/distemper shot. And then again at 8 weeks, and finally the third one at 12 weeks along with his rabies shot. Does he still need another combination shot at 14 weeks? Because I was told that the shot he had at 6 weeks doesn't count? Thanks!
