My vet started Schooley, my cat on pred now for his allergies and said I can go to an allergist to see what he is allergic to. Although during this past month, thinking it was allergy related (I guess indirectly it is due to lowering the immune system) Schooley now has demodectic mange. He has three bald patches around his body and his entire neck and ears are bald. So does my old cat who has bald patches on her sides, legs and rump. I am so upset and I feel terrible for them. They have now been dipped one with lime sulfur and I was sent home with a new spray type to do it at home. I am now washing blankets and sheets that end up smelling like sulfur, every other...

Should I be concerned?
Posted on 2009/01/21 by UserMy 13 1/2 week old puggle has had a loss of appetite in the last two days and is a bit less playful and more lethargic than normal. Usually eats 3/4 to 1 cup at feeding times (is being fed three times per day). Usually drinks two or more cups of water per day. Last two days is not wanting to eat at feeding time or is only eating a few bites of food. Hardly drinking either. Should I be attempting to feed him something else in order to provide nutrition or should I contact a vet ? He has not had any diarrhea or vomiting.

I have been to vet with my collie x lab 12 years old with a cough I had antibiotics and was told nothing seems to be stuck in her throat, It has now been 3 weeks and she still is coughing now and again. Should it have cleared by now. sometimes you can hear clicking in her throat.

Posted on 2009/02/14 by Usermy dog is very sick we have been to three vets and they cant figure out whats wrong with him. he is a 12 week old golden retriver and we are first time dog owners. we got he and 5 weeks is what the breeder said and we later found out that he was just over 3 weeks almost 4 weeks old. he cant keep down foods and has dyarrhea all the time. the one vet thinks he is allergic to wheat foods. so we are now on that special diet. he doesnt eat a lot at all.
