my pet dog possibly ate a maggot /just...
Posted on 2009/06/23 by Usermy dog got into the trash and took a piece of fried chicken and i took it away, but my concern is that i also noticed that the chicken had maggots. if my pet swallowed one or more maggots is that serious or can wait to take my pet to vet later today.

Tasha occasionally wee's my bed. She always does it when i am in it and always at night. She does not do this anywhere else in the house and after visit to vet, there is no medical condition. Can anyone give me advice as to why she is doing this and what i can do to avoid it. She is quite a nervy girl but always make sure she feels loved and secure when indoors. Dawn Simpson

Lick Granulomas
Posted on 2009/04/19 by CyndiRex has had a history with stress/anxiety and skin allergies. He has recently had a flair up with the lick granuloma on his front legs. I've tried using large bandages, nasty tasting strips to prevent licking and punishing him, however he won't stop licking. Just when it starts to get better from treatments he seems to go right back to work on the spot making it worse again. I am beyond frustrated by this...is there anything else we can do to stop him. By the way, he is always hungry and is on a diet to loose around 20 lbs since I allowed him to get overweight this winter by overfeeding him.

My little kittie
Posted on 2009/06/23 by UserI found a stray kitten last Thursday at my work. The humane society said they would put her to sleep because shes so little and they are having problems finding home for cats. I took her to the Vet that night and they said she was fine. They dewormed her, killed the fleas and gave her a shot of vitamins and sent me on my merry way. The cat has been great, shes playful, lovable. Than tonight at 3:00am we hear her just screaming and crying. I find her and she hisses at me and screams louder. Her eyes are dialated and shes just freaking out. I know shes not older than 6 weeks. What do I do?

Weird-est thing a dog owner of 25years...
Posted on 2009/03/24 by UserMy GermanSheppard has no issues throughout the day. She plays and runsaround with our other dog. She eats bot meals breakfast and dinner. She naps and walks. However almost everynight for the past week she wakes up between 2am and 3am and shakes her head repeatedly and tries to scratch something out of her left ear. She asks to go outside but never uses the restroom. She drinks a ton of water then wants back inside. This goes on for 20min to 3hrs. She is just over a year old we got her from a private breeder and she is not fixed and still has yet to have a dog perod and/or gone into heat, as far as we can tell. Also this has happened several time since we got her...
