I have a 6 month old kitten I had rescued at four weeks old, she has seizures on rare occasions, she had one in Nov and one just last night. They don't last long and usually in 10-20 minutes she out of her "daze" but I was wondering if her dreams could be causing them. They only happen early in the morning (2:30 am). I know some times animals can just have them sometimes without any serious medical conditions but I feel so bad for her, Is there anything I can do and do you have any insight on why she has them? Her emp. has gone down but she seems to be weaker, I feel that all the meds together are weakening her, could this be true?

pregnancy....
Posted on 2007/12/16 by melissaI have Max and Missy. And I think that she may be pregnant. If she is, when (if) she has kittens, is it safe for him to be around them? I mean , like as she is having them,,and right after? And when she isnt around? We always had outside cats, so we brought them in to have their kittens. So I wasnt sure if it was ok. Thanks for much for you time! Best Regards, Melissa

my dog is sick
Posted on 2007/12/17 by UserMy dog has thrown up twice today along with very watery, bloody liquid coming from her rectum. She is not dehydrated and doesn''t have a temperature. She has had 2 doses of Previcox one on Fri. and one on Sat. night. We took her to the vet this morning and the vet was just going to give her a s.q. shot for dehydration along with, an anti nausous drug, and something maybe for diarhea. Now it''s 4:15 p.m. and I am worried about her loosing too much blood. Can you please help me? Is it from the Previcox? It seems like these are direct side effects from the drug.

partial paralysis
Posted on 2007/12/17 by PattersonMy 8 year old German Shepard became sick. I was gone and over the next two days and he became paralyzed. Front legs were really stuff, the back legs could move a little. I took him to a vet and took x-rays with no problems observed. Started him on an IV with antibiotics. I took him home after a couple of days and he is slowly getting better. If you pet or scratch his back along his spine, he will lose muscle function and sit down. At times he drags his left rear leg. At times he can not walk a straight line. After getting him back from the vet’s office, he could run up the driveway at approximately 6 mph. He is up to about 11 mph now and use to run at 16...

Not eating and Jaundiced
Posted on 2007/12/17 by LindaWe have a 7 y/o female cat that hasn't hardly eaten any food in 2 weeks and drinks just enough to barely keep hydrated. She's been tested for FIV and Leukemia and is neg., her blood work shows a low white blood cell count and slightly impaired liver function. She was given a routine of antibiotics earlier and recently a anabolic steroid shot to try to help with her appetite. She tries to drink and is able to a little, but her attempts at food are worse now and she is showing jaundice around the ears and the gums. She's skin and bones and does try to do her normal activities, just has no energy. I have some Nutri Cal and am debating on whether to try to force feed...

some thing wrong
Posted on 2007/12/17 by johnWHat would cause a cat to go around in circles and flop down. Normally the cat is very active, but has seemed to have lost all ability to move quickly, can not go down the stairs, but can go upstairs. Does not know where the litter box is. Seems to have no feeling on the left side of body. Could this have been a stroke or systems of a spider bite?
