My dog recently has started peeing when we get home on the carpet and also has been vomiting during the day when left alone. She normally is left at home for about 7 hrs a day by herself. Before this recent change, she was potty trained and capable of spending a longer period of time by herself. She is our family dog and she has recently (2 weeks ago) moved to stay with me since my parents are on vacation. Is there any advice you can give me?

My dog has been vomiting
Posted on 2008/01/15 by UserMy bichon-poodle seems to vomit whenever I am at work or for long periods during the day (never when I am home or on weekends). This occurs almost daily. The vet has given him Metoclopromide, and a few other things, thinking it was an intestinal thing. Is it possible that it could be behavioral? He was abused and neglected in his last home, so I'm curious if it is an attachment/behavioral issue? Thanks! :)

I recently bought a laser cat toy at the local grange where I live. My cat Callie loves it and goes nuts. But once she gets going for awhile she breathes heavy and occasionaly pants. Is that normal? Or should I be concerned?

Vomiting Kitty
Posted on 2008/01/25 by RebeccaMy cat has been vomiting for the past couple of weeks intermittently. Most of the time it's in the middle of the night. She is acting completley normal otherwise (eating normally, happy, energetic, affectionate, etc.) The vomit usually includes a very large hairball and some of her food. Her food/treats have remained constant over the past year or so. It does not look like she has lost any weight either. She has never thrown up hairballs in the past. Should I be worried that she is throwing up almost every night? Do you think it is just a hairball problem or something more serious? Thank you.

treating stomatitis in cats
Posted on 2008/01/26 by MeredithMy cat has stomatitis. We were treating it with steroid injections until she developed DKA. Since then, we have not been treating the stomatitis. When she was first diagnosed with stomatitis she did have some teeth extracted. But, no medicine for the stomatitis in over a year now. The vet mentioned laser therapy but I do not with to spend that much money at this point. Is there something that she could take with the diabetes? Should she be taking something? It just seems like to me before she developed DKA, it was like we HAD to treat the stomatitis. And then now nothing. I am just kind of puzzled by that.

My horse has a patch of skin that fell off about 2 inches by 3 inches big. It is down to the muscle. What should I do. Can I put an antibacterial cream or ointment on it? Should I be worried? There was a small cut in the area where the skin fell off, (an injury from a few weeks ago.
