Ear infection

I want to adopt a cat. My boyfriend is reluctant because the previous cat who lived at the house use to not make the litter box at times, especially as she got older. He is afraid that the new cat will still smell the spots from the old cat and will then start doing the same thing. Even though the carpets have been replaced since the old cat died.

urine & incontinence
Posted on 2008/03/02 by UserWe have a Golden Retriever. Everytime someone comes to visit, if we don't put him in his cage he will urinate all over the carpet. What is the reason for this? He is 3 years old and did it the day I brought him home. He was 1 yr. old then.

cats for immunospressed children
Posted on 2008/04/11 by UserI have heard that cats can be dangerous for those with suppressed immune systems. I have a child who takes steroids on a daily basis. Since this would classify my child as having a suppressed immune system, I was wondering if owning a cat is not worth the risk. We have a small dog and never had a problem, but we would like to have a cat as well. For every article that states that owning a cat can be potentially dangerous, I have read articles that state that having an indoor cat only requires proper precautions, such as the child never cleaning the litter box. What do you think, is owning a cat too risky??? Thanks! Eddie
