We'd been out in the field as usual and Pippa was racing around. When we got back to our yard she diappeared for a minute but came back when we called her lloking a bit sheepish. She often does this so wasn't worried. Brought her in and dried her feet as normal then my husband said she wasn't weight bearing at all on her right hind leg. I have checked her paw, flexed it and bent it, she doesn't cry but is looking very sorry for herself. Please help it is Xmas Eve and obviously we will get the vet if necessary but would prefer not to disturb them at Xmas if it is something we can deal with.

Swollen Scrotum and Strange Red Spot
Posted on 2008/01/08 by KarenMy dog was neutered five days ago. I took him to the vet immediately and they said it was normal--that he licked himself or was getting too much exercise. He has been monitored 24/7 but might have licked himself at night briefly without me knowing or infected it when he decided to sit on a pile of dirt in my yard two days after surgery rather than pee. He didn't have a fever and his heart rate was normal. The vet put him on antibiotics and pain killers and sent us on our...

Posted on 2008/01/29 by EllenShe is favoring her front paw and it is hot to the touch and we think we see possibly a bug bite. She is a bit lethargic and uncomfortable and is not acting like herself. We gave her an over the counter clear benedryl...is there anything else that we should be looking for

My 14 year old cat has had for 2 weeks now a mushy stool and then a harder more constipated stool all in the same day and mostly the poop will stay in there. We had to help him get it out just now. His rectum is so red and he hurts. Does this sound like Irritable Bowel and if so is it necessary to have a scope and biopsy done? Or can we just try to change his diet? He just had blood work and x rays done a couple of days ago and all was well.
