Paralysis

  • cat illness

my cat minky had two kittens in july, both died last week and minky has died a week later, they all had the symptoms: bloody noses, loss of balance and tempory paralysis of back legs, loss of appitite, eye and throat infections and severe vomiting and sneezing

  • Vaginal Infection

Our cat had 4 kittens almost 7 weeks ago and the smallest I notice doesn't have a tail and it's back legs do not function like they should. She just drags them behind her most the time. Right away we noticed she had puss and yellow fluid coming from her vagina. It seemed to be getting better but recently it is a lot worse. Just a moment ago I picked her up and noticed her vagina is REALLY swollen and I pressed on her belly and infection ran out of her vagina. We can't afford to take her to the vet. What other options do we have in treating her? Would clinic take her and treat her for free or keep her? I am so worried

  • Lack of body control

When I fed Ziggy this morning she seemed to be semi paralized, she was standing in one place and couldn't move. When she finally did move - she seemed to have little to no control over her body. She did eat and use the bathroom afterwards.

  • My Cat might Die!!!!

What does it mean if my cat can't feel his back legs? He is at the vet right now, and they said he has a bladder infection, but they don't know what is wrong with his legs. Someone please answer soon.

  • Very Sick Cat

We live on a farm and have a stray cat that has been hanging around. We bought goats last week and one of them passed away yesterday. This morning the cat was lying on my porch, seemed almost paralyzed, unable to move except head, twitching, labored breathing. Any clue what it could be and do you think it could be related to whatever killed the goat?

  • partial paralysis

My 8 year old German Shepard became sick. I was gone and over the next two days and he became paralyzed. Front legs were really stuff, the back legs could move a little. I took him to a vet and took x-rays with no problems observed. Started him on an IV with antibiotics. I took him home after a couple of days and he is slowly getting better. If you pet or scratch his back along his spine, he will lose muscle function and sit down. At times he drags his left rear leg. At times he can not walk a straight line. After getting him back from the vet’s office, he could run up the driveway at approximately 6 mph. He is up to about 11 mph now and use to run at 16...

  • some thing wrong

WHat would cause a cat to go around in circles and flop down. Normally the cat is very active, but has seemed to have lost all ability to move quickly, can not go down the stairs, but can go upstairs. Does not know where the litter box is. Seems to have no feeling on the left side of body. Could this have been a stroke or systems of a spider bite?

  • Neuro changes in cat

Wondering if you can help me with my 8yo. neutered male cat. Last night I heard him crying and when I went to see what was wrong, he was trying to walk but was stumbleing all over the place. His head was also moving back and forth from left to right. He did know me but seemed to be a little disoriented at the same time. He also lost control of his bowels which I spotted later on the rug. He did this about 4 or 5 months ago but I thought he may have eaten something outside and was having a reaction. Now I don't think so since he wasn't outside yesterday except for about 20 minutes in the morning. Any ideas? Thanks, Joanne Carr
