Urine & incontinence

  • ?seizure?

Once again, Marley woke up, stiff, drooling, "foam" bubbles coming out of her mouth. This time she had loss of control of her bowles. The episode lasts about 30 seconds. After the episode, she cries, whimpers, and eats for about 10 minutes. Then she is back to her normal playful self.

  • Crate Training Issues

We've had Bentley for a few weeks now and she's been doing really well. We've been crate training her when we leave for the day, but latly she's been struggleing with it. She keeps having accedents even if she's not in there for very long. We always let her go potty before we put her in there, but it doesn't seam to matter. Also, she seems to have speration anxity. I don't know how else to ask for advise.

  • What is wrong?

Milo has CRF, which is being treated at home with IV Fluids. I took him to the vet one week ago for a checkup and because he seems so boney. He has lost 2.5 lbs in a year and he has been sleeping alot lately. He has also been struggling with constipation for quite a few years and vomits often after he does poop. Since being at the vet one week ago, he hasn't pooped since that day, hasn't hardly eaten anything, vomited today with nothing in his stomach and he was been urinating in his kitty bed, which he has NEVER done. I have to wait until Monday to bring him back to the vet, but does anyone have any clue what is wrong with him? His bloodwork came back actually...

  • My dog has a UTI. She had one about 7 months ago and it the vet said that she drinks too much water and it lowered the PH of her urine. It occurred, I believe because she had to hold it too long- a fact which causes me guilt to this day. I had a stretch of a week at work where I was away from home for more than 12 hours. It was a stressful situation, but she was put on antibiotics and it cleared within a few days. As you know, Labs are very tolerant by nature, and that includes pain. I noticed the tell-tale signs on Thursday night-straining, urgency, etc. I lost my job in the mortgage bus. about 4 months ago and new jobs have FINALLY started to turn up; I was...

  • straining to urinate

My Greyhound is at the vet quarantined because he nipped at a child but did not draw blood. That is not the issue. The vet just called to say he is straining to urinate. Would this have anything to do with being stressed out at being at the vet? He has been drinking a lot of water. They want to do X-rays and possibly surgery for bladder stones. I am supposed to bring him home tomorrow. Should I do this first and watch him for a couple of days to see if he is doing this at home?

  • not using litter box

After my cat had surgery, he hasn't been using his litter box. Instead, he is going to the bathroom all over the house. How can we get him to start using his litter box again?

  • collapse

Collie/shepard mix 12 yrs. old stopped eating last four meals. She takesProin 50mg. 2x a day,Famotidine 20mg.(1/2 tbl.) 2x a day,and Estradiol 1mg. 1x wkly. She continues to take her pills but is suddenly having incontinence again today. Tonight she was going out to potty and suddenly fell to her side, she seemed out of it and shortness of breath. After what felt like an eternity she got up and went potty and came back in and laid down. Could this have been fainting from not eating, or something more serious? Suggestions?
